Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Gateco platform you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using Gateco on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Service Description

Gateco provides a permission-aware retrieval layer for AI systems, including policy enforcement, identity-based access control, audit logging, and access to the platform via web dashboard, REST API, and SDKs. Service features and availability vary by subscription plan.

3. Accounts and Access

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and promptly update it if it changes. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or suspected security incident at security@gateco.ai.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Gateco to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • Transmit malicious code, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or otherwise interfere with the platform's operation or infrastructure.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Gateco systems, other customers' accounts, or data.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Intellectual Property

Gateco and its licensors retain all rights to the platform, including software, documentation, and branding. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform during the subscription term. You retain all rights to the data, configurations, and policies you create within Gateco.

6. Subscription and Payment

Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, charged in advance at the start of each billing period.

  • Refunds: No refunds. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to the platform until that date.
  • Overages: Retrievals above the monthly plan limit are billed at the end of the billing period: $0.50 per retrieval on the Team plan (above 50,000/mo) and $0.25 per retrieval on the Growth plan (above 500,000/mo). Free plan retrievals pause until the next billing cycle. Enterprise plans have no retrieval limits.

7. Service Level Agreement

  • Free, Team, and Growth: Gateco provides commercially reasonable uptime on a best-effort basis. No formal SLA or uptime guarantee applies.
  • Enterprise: 99.9% monthly uptime per the signed Enterprise Agreement with Gateco. Downtime credits and remedies are governed by that agreement.

8. Data Processing

By using the Gateco platform to process personal data, you agree to Gateco's Data Processing Agreement (DPA), which governs how Gateco processes personal data on your behalf as a data processor. A copy of the DPA is available on request at privacy@gateco.ai.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gateco shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Gateco in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. You may cancel your subscription through your account settings or by contacting support@gateco.ai. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms with or without notice. Upon termination, you have 30 days to export your data. After this window, your data will be deleted in accordance with our retention policy.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or relating to these terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both parties consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
